Celebrate your summit with the Mt. Belford trucker hat. Located in Colorado’s Sawatch Range, this gentle giant garners its name from James Burns Belford, known as “The Red-Headed Rooster of the Rockies” who was Colorado’s first U.S. congressman and renowned for his bright red hair and energetic speeches. According to local legend, miners who worked around Mt. Belford (elevation 14,205 ft) associated the red rocks found near its summit with Belford’s fiery persona and named the mountain after him. The most popular starting point for this mountain is at the Missouri Gulch Trailhead. Your legs will feel the burn almost immediately as a well-defined trail climbs steeply up a slew of memorable switchbacks through a beautiful forest. If you are looking to wash out some dirt or sweat stains, we recommend you hand wash or spot treat your cap with warm water and a light laundry detergent or small amounts of OxiClean. Air dry to help maintain shape.

Tip: rinsing with warm water regularly after particularly sweaty days will help maintain the hats best appearance.

We do not recommend letting your heat pressed hat soak in water. Soap, water, alcohol, and harsh chemical cleansers can weaken the glue bond between the patch and hat.
